Joanne P. Campopiano, 74, of Waterman Ave, East Providence Passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the wife of the late Johnathan Child. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Concetta (Petrarca) Stravato. Mrs. Campopiano was a big fan of “Elvis Presley,” she enjoyed playing Keno and scratching lottery tickets, playing bingo and doing crossword puzzles but most of truly loved spending time with her family. She was the loving mother of five daughters; AnnMarie Lavorgna and her husband William of Providence, Kim Dolbec of East Providence, Denise Lamb and her husband Bill of Cranston, Michelle Oliveira and her husband Joe of East Providence, Joanna Campopiano and her spouse Kayla of Riverside, she was the loving grandmother of Scott Campopiano, Craig Campopiano, Krystal Oliveira and Stephanie Walsh, six great grandchildren and her best friend Lilian Fernandes. She leaves behind two sisters, Angela Sarza of Cranston, Pauline Leaver of Greenville. She was the sister of the late Walter Stravato Jr.. Her funeral and visitation will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 9:00AM in the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a service to follow at 10:00AM. Burial will immediately follow in the Resurection Cemetery, W. Wrentham Road, Cumberland.
