Fred P. Candora, Jr., 76, of Simmonsville Avenue, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the husband of Jeannine R. (Janelle) Candora.
Born in Roxbury, Ma. he was a son of the late Fred and Marguerite Candora. Mr. Candora worked for the Northop Grumman Corporation testing cruise missiles before he retired. He served in the United States Navy. He was a baseball coach for many years for the Woonsocket Little League and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. Spending time with his family brought him the most pleasure, especially family vacations to the White Mountains in New Hampshire and Disney World. He also enjoyed playing Skip-BO.
Besides his wife he leaves two children, Kevin Candora and his wife Gail of Riverside and Gina Marie Candora of East Providence, one granddaughter, Juliana St. Onge, one sister, Mary Jenkins and two brothers, Joseph Candora and James Candora.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 2-5 PM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. In lieu of flowers contributions to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 would be appreciated.
