Frank F. Giordano, 90, of Woodland Avenue, East Providence, passed away Tuesday May 2, 2017 at Elderwood of Riverside. He was the husband of Annette M. (Capobianco) Giordano, to whom he was married for 50 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Francisco and Maria (Izzi) Giordano. Mr. Giordano was a machine operator for General Electric for before retiring in 1987. Following his retirement he continued working various jobs for the next 30 years until becoming ill. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII and the Korean War. Frank was a past commander of the VFW Post, 5385 on Lion Avenue in East Providence and was very active in Veteran Affairs. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was also a kind, caring and generous person who was loved by all. Besides his wife he leaves, one daughter, Allison Giordano, three sons, Rick, Gary and Patrick all of East Providence, three grandchildren, Jessica Giordano, Frank Giordano and Angela Miranda, two great Grandchildren, Nicholas and Emily Giordano and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Neal Giordano, Vincent Giordano, Carolina Cardente, Lucy Seggie, Anna Robinson, Mickey Verras and Nancy Smith. His funeral will be held on Monday May 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter. Calling hours Sunday 4-8.
