Esmeraldo Concepcion, 53, of East Providence passed Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Josey M. (Pimentel) Concepcion. Born in the Dominican Republic, he was a son of the late Gilberto and Angelica (Abreu) Concepcion.Esmeraldo’s proudest achievement was his family and he would do anything to see them prosper. A hardworking man, he brought his family over from the Dominican Republic to give them the life he never had, and he succeeded. He was an amazing friend who always had a smile on his face and was willing to lend a hand no matter the difficulties. Esmeraldo was known for his outgoing personality, work ethic, and ability to make everyone feel loved. He touched many lives and will be missed. (Un hombre integro, responsable, dedicado a su familia, amoroso, incanzable, siempre dispuesto a ayudar a los demas, no importando las dificultades, ni las barreras que le impedian lograr sus metas. Nunca tenia un no. Siempre fue un hombre muy feliz, y asi lo recordaremos.) Besides his wife he leaves one daughter, Rosemary Concepcion of East Providence, two sons, Joshua and Christopher Concepcion both of East Providence, two sisters, Altagracia and Amalia Abreu. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 12:00 – 4:00 PM in the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Funeral services will take place in the Dominican Republic.
