Eleanor F. Dykeman, 89, formerly of Plymouth Road, passed away Thursday March 17, 2016 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of the late Calvin C. Dykeman. Born in East Providence she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Mathias) Pavao. Mrs. Dykeman was a bookkeeper for Dykeman Electric. She was a former president of the Republican Women’s Club of East Providence. She was an assistant leader for the East Providence Girl Scouts and involved in many local and national charities. She leaves one daughter, Eileen Dykeman of Seekonk, two sons, Thomas C. Dykeman and his wife Constance of East Providence and Christopher C. Dykeman and his wife Linda of Rehoboth, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Angelina McEaneney, John Pavao and Julia Sage. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint Martha’s Church, Pawtucket Avenue. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Monday 5-8.
