Eleanor Fallon Bairos, 83, died at Hospice of the Fisher Home in Amherst, MA on Friday, February 23, 2018. A lifelong resident of Providence, Eleanor was wife of the late Manuel (Manny) J. Bairos for a happy 40 years. A daughter of the late Richard J. and Abbie D. (O’Connell) Fallon, and sister of the late Kathleen Fallon Ross, she leaves her nieces Ellen Marie Ross, Therese Abigail Ross, her nephews Seamus Ross, Richard Fallon Ross, Joseph Bairos, her grandnieces and grandnephews, and her caregiver Mary. Eleanor graduated from St. Xavier Academy and then from Bryant College. After nine years at WPRO, Eleanor worked until her retirement for the American Petroleum Institute – Rhode Island Division. She was a member of The Barker Playhouse. Eleanor cherished time with her husband, family, and friends. She and Manny enjoyed their extensive travels, and she delighted in dining in restaurants across Rhode Island. She shared her joy for life and her engaging stories with her many friends and enriched the lives of a wide circle who knew her. Eleanor’s attentive presence, her warm humor, sharp wit, and her wisdom will be missed by all who knew her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 10:00 AM in St. Pius Church, 55 Elmhurst Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours will be held in St. Pius Church on Friday from 9-10 AM.
