Edward V. Bouvier, 78, of Bliss Street passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Karen (Tilley) Bouvier, his high school sweetheart. They were together for over 61 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Edward V. Bouvier and Mary (Piacitelli) Donofrio. He was the stepson of the late John Donofrio. Besides his wife he leaves six children, Cheryl Martin and her husband Kevin, Edward Bouvier and his wife Emily, Wendy O’Brien and her husband Jim, Lori Medeiros and her husband Tony, Bonnie Realejo and her husband Victor and Cindy DiSano and her husband Craig, 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons. He was the stepbrother of the late Marjorie Rogers and John and Donald Donofrio. Mr. Bouvier worked for the McLaughlin & Moran Company for 22 years before he retired. He was a 1971 graduate of Roger Williams College. His hobbies included woodworking, gardening and golf. His artistic gift created magical handmade settings for childrens classrooms and school dances for many years. His happiest moments were spent with his entire family. His funeral will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Martha’s Church, 2595 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 4-8. In lieu of flowers contributions to St. Martha’s Church would be appreciated.
