Edward R. Ousley, 76 of Smithfield passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 29, 2016 surrounded by his family. Edward was the son of John and Gertrude (Ouillette) Ousley, and was a long time resident of Pawtucket, RI. In addition to being a veteran of the United States Army, Edward dedicated years of his life as a Mental Health Counselor specializing in recovery. Edward had a passion for music, playing both the accordion and keyboard. He was also an avid user of technology with a specific interest in photography. Edward was known for his intelligence, charm, and quick wit. He is survived by his son Edward Ousley Jr of Rehoboth, and three daughters; Rosemarie Tremblay of Harrisville, Debra Schultz of Seekonk, and Diane Marquis of North Providence. In addition to his children, Edward leaves behind nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and his beloved twin sister Marion Showers of California. Edward was predeceased by his brother John Ousley Jr, and his sisters Anne McParlin, Ruth Belisle, Ida Gross, and Connie Pizzarellia. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5-7 PM with a memorial service at 7 PM. Burial will be private.
