Edward J. Noonan, 90, of Rehoboth passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018. He was the husband of the late Myra J. (Wallace) Noonan to whom he was married 45 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late James F. Noonan, Sr. and Emmy (Vuurens) Noonan. He had lived in Rehoboth for 68 years. Ed was a utility linesman for the former Narragansett Electric Company for 42 years. An avid outdoorsman, he loved the country life and enjoyed feeding the birds. He was a lifelong member of the South Seekonk Gun Club and served as President in 1970. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Ed leaves a son, Michael E. Noonan of Rehoboth and 14 nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late James F. Noonan, Jr., June E. Russell, Arleen L. Gillett and Anna M. Lemire. Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 4-7 in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Funeral and burial will be private.
