Diamantina R. Matos, 70 of Emmaus Road, Rehoboth passed away at her home on Tuesday, August 5, 2014. She was the wife of the late Jose I. Matos. She was born in Arrifes, Sao Miguel, Acores a daughter of the late Manuel R. and Diamantina (DaPonte) Rosa. Mrs. Matos was a jewelry worker for the Carla Corporation before she retired. She also worked for many years as a seamstress. She leaves four daughters, Elidia Galego and her husband Joseph of Rehoboth, Liseta Vertentes and her husband Barry of Rehoboth, Elisabeth DaCosta and her husband David of Rehoboth and Wendy Botelho and her husband Peter of East Providence, ten grandchildren, Jonathan, Elise and Justen Galego, Joshua and Hailey Vertentes, Samantha, Audrey and Mason DaCosta and Gianna and Noah Botelho, five sisters, Maria Sousa, Alda Costa, Antonina Costa, Lucia Carlos and Ana Melo and one brother, Jose Rosa. She was the sister of the late Manuel Rosa and Agostinho Rosa. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 8:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse Street, Providence.
