Delphis E. Plante, 91, of Martin Street died Monday April 6, 2015 at the Grace Barker Nursing Home. He was the husband of Juliette R. (Charron) Plante. Born in North Attleboro he was a son of the late Wilfred and Lucy (Eno) Plante.Mr. Plante was an Army Veteran of WWII. He was in the battle of the bulge and received many medals including the Bronze Star. He was a Machinist for Leesona Corporation for over 30 years before retiring. Family always came first and was the most important part of his life.Besides his wife he leaves one daughter, Suzanne Violette, three sons, Edward, Rene and David Plante, three sisters, Doris Anderson, Rita Denomme and Theresa Albertini, one brother, Maurice Plante, eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.His funeral will be held on Friday at 7:45 AM from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in Saint Dominic’s Church, 1277 Grand Army Hwy, Swansea, Ma. Burial with Military Honors will be held in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours Thursday 4-7.
