Christopher (Chris) Martineau, 58, of Riverside passed away peacefully December 28, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the father of Alyssa and Paige Martineau, both of Cranston. He was a son of Lorraine E. Martineau and the late Leo C. Martineau. He is survived by four siblings, Jeffrey Martineau of Warwick, David Martineau (Jill Billings) of Colorado, Michael Martineau of Warwick, and Michelle Martineau (Fadi Shawish) of Pawtucket. His longtime companion Palma Thomas of Riverside also survives him.
Chris was principal owner/operator of LCM, Inc. DBA Slocum Pantograph, where he served as president and pantograph operator for nearly three decades. He was also employed by Lowes in Cranston and American Equipment & Fabrication in East Providence. He held an Associate of Arts degree from the Community College of Rhode Island.
Chris was an avid golfer and member of the Arts 400 Golf League, a crossword aficionado, a proud dad, a loving brother, a generous friend, and a true gentleman.
He was also a DIY enthusiast and perfectionist with an artist’s eye for detail and questionable table saw skills.
He was a lifelong Red Sox and Patriots fan, but also routed for the Green Bay Packers whose performance on Sunday probably killed him.
His funeral will be held on Thursday at 11 AM in the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4-7PM.
The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by his oncology team. If desired, friends may make memorial contributions to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Christopher Martineau to support cancer research and patient care.
