Charles E. Waldron, 63, of Seabrook Drive died Friday April 10, 2015 at the Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Donna M. (Lapre) Waldron to whom he was married for 40 years. Born in Providence he was a son of Mary (Elderkin) Waldron and the late Charles E. Waldron, Sr. Charles was a truck driver for Tanner Industries for 17 years. He was a Special Police Officer for the City of East Providence for 20 years, an associate member of the East Providence F.O.P.A., and a member of the Portuguese American Police Association. He belonged to the East Providence Police Bowling and Golf Leagues and was a Crossing Guard for the East Providence School Department. His greatest asset was the love of his family. Besides his wife and mother he leaves two daughters, Rebecca Bardsley and her husband Eric of Cranston and Jessica Amado and her husband Juan of East Providence, five grandchildren, Jordan, Emily, Jada, Benjamin and Janelle, two sisters, Mary Waldron-Mello and Claudia Cerina, two brothers, Darrell and Oscar Waldron and many nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM in the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours Monday 4-8.
