Brian R. Pereira

Brian R Pereira, 49, of Providence, Rhode Island, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2014. Brian was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad to Henry and Marina Pereira. He was the loving husband of Ingrid V Pereira and an exemplary father to son Matthew and Step Father to Christal, Christopher and Christian James – Tsoi-a-Sue.  Besides his parents, wife and children, he leaves behind 2 brothers, Sean and Bradley Pereira, Sister Karen Fulton, Grandmother Margaret Luke and several  aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Brian had a love for computers which led him to become an Information Technology Technician who worked at Core Business Technology. He also helped his friends and family with their computers needs.  Brian was also very multi-talented and could fix anything whether it be electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry and he also went to school for auto mechanics. A lover of music he was a disc jockey for many years. Born again in June 1996, Brian was a tremendous man of God, who walked steadfastly with the Lord. He had a strong love for His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and ministered to people everywhere he went. He was very sociable and he was always willing and prepared to pray with people and like a walking bible, give a word in due season.He faithfully served at Faith Christian Center for 14 years in the capacity of Prayer Room Leader, New Convert Worker, Spiritual Personal Trainer, Care Group Leader, Children’s Church worker and other ministries. He was dedicated to supporting mission ministries and was a missionary here in our community and Guatemala.  He had a love and passion for men’s ministry and led men’s groups in his home and was an accountability partner.  He was very supportive of his family, friends and co-workers and was a team-player. If anyone needed help he was there for them. He was also a very funny man who liked to make people laugh and enjoyed telling dry, corny jokes.He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His funeral and visitation will be held, Tuesday at 10:00 A.M in the Faith Christian Center, 95 Sagamore Road, Seekonk  with a service to follow at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family would like to request donations be made to the family or FCC Benevolence Fund.
