Brian Douglas Clarke

The family of Brian Douglas Clarke of Boston Massachusetts is saddened to announce his passing on May 28, 2020 at 69 years young.   He was the son of Elizabeth & Elkins Clarke.

 Those who knew Brian, even just a little, found him to be a brilliant man that loved to learn and develop new ideas. He was a very worldly man that continuously engaged in many cultural and community interests and projects. He was very proud of his work Directing a show called Urban Updates and working to advance the careers of serval cultural artists and many social club events.  Brian worked for decades as a Director, Editor and Producer for major organizations such as BET in DC; WGBH Channel 2 and WHDH Channel 7 in Boston; ABC Nightline in New York; Orion Productions in LA.

Brian was an avid boats man who spent a lot of time on the decks of or as a Captain on the yachts of the wealthy and well known in the Boston Harbors.  He was so passionate about boating. His latest exciting project was the start of his own high-end chartered Yacht Business. 

Brian was most proud of being a member of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity. He graduated from Boston University 1968-1972 BS Journalism.

He was also a Member of the United State Coast Guard Auxiliary and founding Member of the Department of Homeland Security; and was very active with many community, civic and political organizations.

He will be lovingly remembered by his family, nieces and nephews, Wallace Brown III; Carolyn Brown; Warren and Cristina Brown; Mary-Elizabeth Minor; Kevin and Maryann Mathews; Filomena Mathews; Janet Sinclair; and he will also be dearly missed by many relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Elizabeth and Elkins Clarke; his siblings Helen Mary Mathews, and Owen Mathews Jr; Niece, Donna Walmsley and Nephew Keith Mathews.

My sincerest condolences goes out to the entire family. So glad that I was able to visit with him when I was in RI Take rest in Paradise Brian . Love ya Muff
