Arlindo B. Vieira, 77, of Martin Street died Tuesday November 18, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the husband of Maria H. (Mendonca) Vieira. Born in Funchal, Madeira Island, Portugal he was the son of the late Antonio and Ilda (Batista) Vieira. Mr. Vieira was a Supervisor for American Insulated Wire before retiring. He arrived in the United States on March 25, 1966 becoming a legal citizen and also helped his family become United States residents. Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Helder Vieira and his wife Patricia of East Providence and Elvio Vieira and his wife Sandra of Scituate, five grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Kevin, Kenny and Christopher Vieira, three sisters, Carmelita Moura, Heliodora Gouveia, Zita Milho and one brother, Sidonio Vieira. His funeral will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Saint Martha’s Church, Pawtucket Avenue.
