Anthony Pacheco, 91, of East Providence passed away December 24, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the husband of Adelaide (Saraiva) Pacheco. Born in East Providence he was a son of the late Maria Pacheco. Mr. Pacheco was proud to serve his country as a Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a machine operator for United Wire and Supply for over 30 years before retiring. He was an active member of the East Providence Senior Center Pool League. Besides his wife he leaves one son, Robert Pacheco and his companion Marilyn Walsh of East Providence and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the father of the late Anthony Pacheco, and grandson of his maternal grandparents, Manuel and Jacinta Pacheco who raised him upon the passing of his mother at the age of five. His funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint Francis Xavier Church, North Carpenter Street, East Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Wednesday 5-7.
