Anna D’Andrea Gomes, formerly of East Greenwich died Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the Brentwood Nursing Home, Warwick. She was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Pasquale) D’Andrea. Anna worked in retail for many years before retiring. She most recently worked at Macys. Previously she was the owner and operator of Ann’s Variety Store in Fox Point. Anna enjoyed traveling with her sisters, line dancing and was an avid animal lover. She leaves two daughters, Joyce Ferguson of East Greenwich and Janice Wells of North Kingstown, three sons, Ronald G. Gomes of Dover, Delaware, Stanley Gomes of Rockhill, South Carolina and George Gomes, Jr. of Florida, one brother, Thomas D’Andrea, three sisters, Dolores Letourneau, Joann Rafus and Sandra D’Andrea, 13 grandchildren, Megan, Nicholas, Rob, Mallory, Kelley, Kyla, Ryan, Michelle, Debbie, Brian, Donna, Stacy and Derreck and several great grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Vincent Gomes and sister of the late Jenny Arruda, Frank D’Andrea and Joseph D’Andrea. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:00 am from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse Street, Providence.
