Ann D. Coogan

Ann D. Coogan, 73, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her family on Sunday December 2, 2018. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John “Butch” and Angela (Cresci) Zielinski. She was proceeded by her son,  William J. “Billy” Coogan and brother  Maj. John David Zielinski of Providence police. She leaves one daughter, Barbara A. Thomas, two sons, Robert E. Coogan, Jr. and wife Marybel, former East Providence State Representative of District 88, District 64 and East Providence City Councilman of Ward 2 Brian G. Coogan, thirteen grandchildren: Justyne, Heather and Lindsay Coogan, Kaitlin Poplaski, Crystal Thomas, Michael Thomas, Kayla Figueroa, Cameron, Ashton, Sebastion, London, Blaze and Blake Coogan, three great grandchildren: Mya, Tristan, and  Brady, three sisters: Eleanor Florio, Janice Pezzullo, and Susan Cadman one uncle: Frank Cresci and his wife Patricia, and survived by her former spouse and father of her children Robert E. Coogan Sr as well as many nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on Thursday December 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM in Saint Rose and Clement Church, 111 Long Street, Warwick.
