Ana V. Peixoto, 88, of Mauran Avenue, passed away on Friday July 17, 2015 at the Elmhurst Extended Care Facility. She was the wife of the late Jose G. Peixoto.
Born in Praia do Norte, Faial, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Joao and Ana (deFaria) da Silveira. Mrs. Peixoto worked for the Davol Rubber Company for 10 years before she retired. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting for everyone. She was a very loving and caring person and was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church.
She leaves three daughters, Maria Helena Peixoto of North Providence, Maria Manuela Hawkins of Gloucester, and Natalina S. Peixoto of East Providence, one son, Jose F. Peixoto of Rumford, two brothers, Manuel Silveira of Faial, and Francisco Silveira of East Providence, eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Maria Silveira, Emilia Peixoto, Antonio Silveira, and Fernando Silveira.
Her funeral will be held on Monday at 9 AM from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Francis Xavier Church, North Carpenter St. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 4-6.
