Ana L. Avila

53, of Broad Street Pawtucket passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, Providence.

Born in Lajes, Terceira, Portugal, she was a daughter of Carlos C. Avila of Pawtucket and the late Maria (Avelar) Avila. Ana was employed by Wrentham State School and Dunkin Donuts until illness forced her retirement.  She was a long time member of Amigos da Terceira of Pawtucket and a member of the Sanctuary North Church in Providence.

Besides her father she leaves behind five sisters; Irene Amaral and her husband Tony of Pawtucket, Mary-John Santos and her husband Victor of Pawtucket, Fatima Avila and her spouse Claudio of East Providence, Odilia Avila and her partner Raul of Pawtucket, Paula Rodrigues and her husband John of Central Falls and sister and law Maria João Avila of Mississauga, Ontario: A goddaughter, Brittany Avila, and twelve nieces and nephews, one great nephew Kai Morales and one great niece Juliana Pereira. She was the sister of the late Carlos M. Avila and the aunt of the late Crystal Rodrigues.

She had a special motherly bond with all her nieces and nephews and was always there for all of them. Ana was truly loved by all who knew her.

Her calling hours will be held on Thursday September 27, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 P.M. with a service at 7:00 P.M. in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence. Burial will be private.
