Philip J. Fox, 71, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at his home. He was the husband of Diane (Rowan) Fox to whom he was married 49 years.Born in Providence, Philip was the son of the late Michael James Fox and Mary E. (Riley) Fox. He was a retired Executive, having worked at Marshall and Williams Co., Aerovox Inc., and Parkinson Technologies. Philip was a graduate of LaSalle Academy and the University of Rhode Island. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5108. He was an Army veteran. Besides his wife he leaves two daughters, Dr. Christine Fox and her husband Theodore Clement of Cranston, and Karen Fox Heindl and her husband Brent of New Jersey, and two grandchildren, Bridget and Aidan Heindl. He also leaves behind one sister, Carol Fox of Cranston, and two brothers, Paul Fox of Florida and Michael Fox of Rumford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Taunton Avenue, Seekonk. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7 PM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence.Contributions can be made in his name to the American Lung Association.
