Maria P. DeCarvalho, 86, of City View Avenue passed away Tuesday September 20, 2016 at the Evergreen House Health Center. She was the wife of the late Raul P. DeCarvalho. Born in Villa Pouca, Portugal she was a daughter of the late Francisco and Laurantine Rego. Mrs. DeCarvalho worked for Fleet National Bank before retiring. She was a communicant of St. Martha’s Church. She leaves two daughters, Cheryl Smith and Maria Silva both of Cranston, five sons, Sergio DeCarvalho of East Providence, Lee DeCarvalho of Pawtucket, Orlando “Al” DeCarvalho of North Providence, Paul DeCarvalho of East Providence and David DeCarvalho of Hope, RI, one sister, Felisbina Rego, three brothers, Louis Rego, Francisco Rego, Serafim Rego, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Henry Lourenco, Arlindo Rego, Odelia Lourenco, Leonida Cruz and Audette Rego. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:00 AM from the PERRY-MCSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Martha’s Church, Pawtucket Avenue. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Friday 4-8.
