Frank R. Tameo, 89 passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Marion E. (Hawes) Tameo to whom he was married 65 years. Born in East Providence, he was a son of the late Michael and Olive (DellaValle) Tameo. Mr. Tameo was a machinist for the Hammond & Barrie Company before he retired. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and served aboard the L.S.T. #267. He was also involved in five invasions in the Pacific. Besides his wife he leaves one son, Frank R. Tameo, Jr. and his wife Pam of Cranston, one grandson, Frank R. Tameo, III, three step grandchildren, Joseph J. Cirello, Jr., Amanda L. Cirello and Louis S. Cirello, one sister, Gloria Tameo Lynch and two brothers, Gerald Tameo and Raymond Tameo. He was the brother of the late Michael Tameo. His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Loreto Church, Waterman Avenue.
